OAK RIDGE, N.J., Sept. 8, 2015 — Lakeland Bank executives recently met with members of the Newton Medical Center Foundation to present a check for the fourth installment of its $50,000 pledge to support the hospital’s capital campaign.
In 2012, the Newton Medical Center Foundation launched the IMAGINE Capital Campaign to raise $3.0 million to support facility and technology upgrades at Newton Medical Center.
These upgrades will help modernize the hospital and bring state-of-the-art equipment closer to home for residents in the area.
“We are pleased to provide financial aid to the Newton Medical Center Foundation to support its dedication to improving the quality of a local medical facility,” said Thomas J. Shara, president and chief executive officer, Lakeland Bank.“Having a first-rate hospital nearby that has advanced technologies and staff that provides exceptional care to its patients is critical to meeting the needs of the residents in this community.”
“We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to Lakeland Bank for their steadfast support to the IMAGINE Campaign,” said Megan Sandow, chief development officer for the Foundation. “The developments and high quality services we have added to Newton Medical Center have only been possible through the generosity of the communities we serve.”
