Oak Ridge, N.J. – August 24, 2023 – Lakeland Bank was honored to receive a Proclamation by the Passaic County Board of County Commissioners during the Opening Ceremony of the Passaic County Fair on Friday, August 11th. “Receiving this Proclamation was such an honor. Our roots are here in Passaic County, and our organization wouldn’t be what it is today without the support and loyalty of its citizens. It’s wonderful to look around see everyone out and enjoying the fair and know our contributions have helped this community.” Shared Nina Luongo of Lakeland Bank.
Back in 1969, three local businessmen from Passaic County (Newfoundland) recognized the need for a local bank that could conveniently service the area and support the community. Since then, Lakeland has grown to nearly 70 locations and 17 commercial lending centers throughout New Jersey and Highland Mills, New York, and has been proudly serving these communities for over five decades.
The honorary Proclamation received by Lakeland Bank recognized its outstanding service to the residents of the County of Passaic and beyond, for over fifty years. Also, for being a loyal sponsor of the Passaic County Fair for many years.
“Lakeland Bank has demonstrated long-time commitment to the County of Passaic through employment of local residents, continued reinvestment in their company and their strong leadership; and the Board extends it’s sincere best wishes for continued success.” Shared Commissioner Cruz during the stating of the Proclamation.
